This has certainly been a year to remember. We hope that you and your families and friends have kept well and safe.
And now of course the cold weather is now here!
If you need to order ink we will try to make sure that it gets to you in one piece and not several frozen pieces. Ink has a tendency to freeze.
If you can put ink orders off until March then all the better! Pens are no problem aside from the occasional cartridge explosion which are pretty easy and low cost to fix.
Please note that from today until March a card for pickup will be left with you when there is any ink in your order. This means you will have to venture to the Post Office to pick up your order.
If you are unwilling or cannot go to a Post Office due to COVID-19, then we ask you not to order ink until the warmer weather comes.
We also tried an experiment last year and didn’t ship any ink between January and March. This actually worked out very well for us – our losses were reduced as we didn’t have to send replacement bottles! Customers were also very willing to wait to restock their supplies. We will likely follow the same policy this year and when it gets very cold.
… This actually coincides with some other news we have… we’ll be moving to Ottawa over the winter, so the store will have to be closed for a couple of weeks while we transition to our new location. We’re very excited about the move for Knight’s Writing as well as out family and look forward to a change of scenery!
You may also have noticed that I haven’t updated the blog at all this year. It’s been a very busy year for us in many ways, and we hope to change our posting schedule soon.
In the meantime keep well! Keep writing and have a lovely Holiday Season.
